Watch this man let a monkey design his tattoo!

Libero.id - Brilio.net/en - There are quite some strange tattoos out there. Some are sweet, with parents tattooing their children designs on their skin. And some are…well, most abstract. This story might take the cake for most original artwork yet.

But few of us would let a primate draw all over our back, and then have it permanently etched into our skin.

Jan Schekauski is one of those few. The artist let a rheseus named Dasha dance on his back until she has painted a cohesive abstract design. The creative combination was the brainchild of the aforementioned artist and blogger from Germany.

It’s quite fun to watch the monkey experiment with the different colors and see the varying results. Tattoo artist Minerva's Linda then inks him with the colorful spatter and a quote from Article 1 of the Constitution of the European Union: “Human dignity is inviolable.”

And that apparently also applies to monkey’s. "In everyday life this leaves room for interpretation even more than an abstract painting in a museum," Schekauski writes on his blog. "Art that no one can see can not exist just as knowledge does not exist if it is not made use of."

The video is set at a huge slab of the Berlin Wall at the city's Europa Center and is quite entertaining to watch. If only for the monkey dressed in jeans painting on the Jan’s back, who’s wearing a matching pair.

Who’s to say that monkey’s can’t create art? As long as he doesn’t ask for a copyright
